Document Description
Installation and data collection from approximately 90 hand-augered monitoring wells, 10 sets of soil monitoring instruments, and 9 water flow gauging stations in the Willow and Dry Slough Watersheds. Most instrumentation would be located in agricultural fields. Work in the riparian zone will not have an impact on the stream or the adjacent vegetation due to the low intensity of the installation which relies on hand tools.

Class 6 consists of basic data collection, research, experimental management and resource evaluation activities which do not result in a serious major disturbance to an environmental resource. Since none of the proposed actions require significant modification to the environment and after installation consists of reading instruments and laboratory analysis, the proposed project qualifies for this exemption and none of the exceptions apply.
