Document Description
This Environmental Initial Study evalutes at a program level the environmental impacts of creating a new Soscol Gateway Redevelopment Project Area to help fund needed infrastructure improvements, as well as policy changes recommended by the Implementation Plan. The project helps carry out the 1998 General Plan by providing financial and regulatory tools needed for full and efficient use of the area in accordance with the Vision. The project that is assessed through this Environmental Initial Study also includes the following components: - Creation of a new Soscol Gateway Redevelopment Project Area - Amendments to the General Plan Land Use Element - Amendments to the General Plan Transportation Element - Amendments to the City's Soscol Corridor/Downtown Riverfront Development & Design Guidelines (Guidelines). - Amendments to the Zoning Code.
