Document Description
OLQA proposes to expand their existing church and school facilities by relocating its church to the adjacent property located at 2100 Mar Vista Drive and expanding its school within its existing boundaries at 2046 Mar Vista Drive. The expansion includes the construction of a 1,170-seat sanctuary, additional classrooms, and a 9,922 square foot gymnasium. When combined, the new Our Lady Queen of Angels Church campus will be approximately 12.17 acres in size. The project as proposed would require approval of a Use Permit to allow the expansion of the existing church and school facilities; to allow the proposed church building to exceed the permitted building height of 35 feet (90 feet proposed for the steeple); to allow the transfer of development intensity from the new church site (2100 Mar Vista Drive) to the school site (2046 Mar Vista Drive) so as the square footage for the two properties when combined would result in an overall FAR (floor area ratio) of 0.17; and to allow ten portable classrooms to be located on the school site during the construction period.
