City of Mendota Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion Project

The existing wastewater treatment plant has a wastewater discharge permit for 1.24 million gallons per day (MGD). Flows into the plant approach this maximum limit. The project proposes to continue expansion of the plant by completing the second of two phases. The first phase increased the disposal capacity and was constructed in the spring of 2003. The second phase will increase the treatment and disposal capacity to 2.5 MGD and is planned for completion by Dec. 2008.
