The proposed project consists of the following:
1. A Variance to allow an additional freestanding sign, exceeding the maximum height and area allowed, on a 2.49 +/- acre parcel, zoned AC, in the Special Sign District.
2. A Use Permit to allow an 11 +/- square foot, 15 +/- foot high pole sign in the Special Sign Corridor.
The proposed project consists of the construction of a minor structure (on-premise sign) appurtenant to existing commercial facilities, with a minor change in land use limitations, and is therefore exempt from the provisions of CEQA.
