Document Description
The overall goal of the Huntington Beach 2006 Experiment is improved understanding and modeling capabilities of waves, currents, and the dispersion of pollutants and phytoplankton within about 1 km of the shoreline, including the surfzone. Fixed wave and current measuring instruments will be located in the surfzone for 6 weeks and will send data to shore by cable. Lifeguards will ensure safety by manning the fixed object locations during daylight hours.
