Document Description
The Solano County Department of General Services is proposing to construct a 65,150 square-foot expansion to the west side of the existing Claybank Adult Detention Facility. The expansion would add 224 additional beds to the existing 379-bed facility that houses sentenced adult males and females. Non-housing support areas in the existing facility would be expanded including adminsitration, staff services, public and visiting spaces, central control, intake and release, medical and mental health services, and food service. The telephone and electronic security system would be upgraded. Sufficient parking would be provided and the telephone and electronic security system would be upgraded. Sufficient parking would be provided and the access road to the facility would be re-aligned to improve access. The facility would remain operational during the expansion.
