Presently the land is underutilized with a single family residence on a total of 1.44-acres. The project site is zoned L-I for Light Industrial Uses. The entire property concurrently has a General Plan Designation for Light Industrial Commercial uses in the City of Oakley.
As part of this project, the applicant is requesting a Land Use Permit for the operation of an automotive repair service in the Light Industrial Planned Unit District (L-I) and a Development Plan for the building design, parking, landscaping, fencing, and lighting associated with the proposed use. As proposed the development includes construction of a 10,125-square foot automotive service facility and conversion of existing structures for ancillary office uses. The floor plan for the proposed new building includes six service bays, a display area, office space, and a second story mezzanine that overlooks the tire display area.
