Document Description
Proposal to amend Chapter 21.90- Produce Stands and Produce Markets of the County Zoning Ordinance to allow produce markets up to 3,500 square feet to operate exempt from the California Uniform Retail Food Facilities Law (CURFFL) provided they sell only raw, unprocessed fruits, vegetables, nuts, and other agricultural produce in its raw or natural state produced on land that the produce market proprietor controls. The current ordinance recognizes only CURFFL compliant produce markets, which are allowed to sell produce without restriction on where it was grown and allows the limited sales of processed foods.
