Document Description
RCSD's proposed construction and operation of Well No. 18 consists of constructing and operating one 16" diameter domestic water production well, with an anticipated depth of 170 feet below ground surface and production capacity of up to 3,500 gpm. The project is anticipated to include: site clearing and fencing: drilling, casing, developing, and testing of the well using air-lift equipment and a temporary diesel-driven pump; installing pumping unit, motor, electrical switchgear, and electrical power service; installing valves, piping, and appurtenances; installing disinfection facilities; installing the discharge piping from the well pump to existing 12" waterline within 34th Street, which runs along the frontage of the District-owned parcel; painting aboveground facilities; constructing enclosure for protection of aboveground facilities; disinfecting the well; and plant start-up. Development, testing, and operational water discharges will be discharged to the pasture northerly of the project site, and will percolate into the ground. RCSD's Well No. 18 proposed pursuant to the Rubidoux Community Services District Water Facilities Master Plan (1999) to meet a portion of RCSD's projected water production requirements as set forth in the Master Plan.
