Document Description
This proposed project will establish a site for composting of bio-solid and green materials on 80 acres. The Project will also result in widening and paving of an access route and increases vehicular traffic going to and from the Project site. The Project will result in the permanent loss of 86.5 acres of Mohave ground squirrel (Spermophilus mohavensis) and desert tortoise (Gopherus agassizii) habitat. The Project is expected to result in incidental take of Mohave ground squirrel and desert tortoise, which are designated as threatened species under the California Endangered Species Act.
