Document Description
Install approximately 3822 feet of new 3-inch water line along the service road from the pump house to the water tank at Peninsula Campground within Folsom Lake SRA to comply with the Department of Health Services' current drinking water regulations. Installation of the waterline will require excavation of a trench 32 inches deep by 24 inches wide with a sand fill and tracer wire. The water line alignment will avoid going under the drip line of mature oak trees. Trenching will avoid cutting any oak tree roots larger than 3-4", hand excavation will be used where oak tree roots of this size occur. In addition to the trenching, one blue oak tree needs to be trimmed for the trenching equipment access. This tree trimming will occur outside the nesting season (March 15-August 15) or a survey for nesting birds will be completed prior to tree limb removal. A qualified archaeologist will monitor the trenching.
