The project consists of connecting an existing multi-use trail within the park to an existing trail within the City of San Jose (Coyote Creek trail) north of the park boundary. These trails are identified in the Santa Clara County Trails Master Plan (1995). The project includes: - Realignment of sections of an existing unpaved trail to move it further away from Coyote Creek. - Constructing a new section of trail linking the existing unpaved trail segment with an existing paved trail south east of the project site. Currently most of this area is turf. - Both the realigned unpaved segments and the new segment will be paved. There will be no change in purpose, use or designation; the trail will be a multi-use trail.
