Document Description
The work includes the replacement of two culverts on the access road to the Berryessa Peak Communication Site, and stabilization of the down-slope soils. The two ditch relief culverts, located about 0.2 miles apart, are perforated and continue to be vulnerable to down slope undermining and potential failure if the substratum becomes saturated. Additional work is needed to replace the culverts and stabilize the supporting road drainage features. Planned work includes installation of new headwall structures, culverts, riprap, geotextile fiber, and provide other materials and services, including revegetation.

TANC has approved a List of Specific Routine Operation and Maintenance Activities Determined to be Ordinarily Categorically Exempt from the Provisions of CEQA (Resolution 2005-12) consistent with Section 15300.4 of Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations. The list includes the "Replacement of existing culverts within the confines of an existing access road" within the CEQA-exempt Activities Class 2 - Section 15302 of Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations. There is no reasonable possibility that the activity will have a sufficient effect on the environment due to unusual circumstances, and the activity will not result in any significant cumulative impact.
