Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2014-0077-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Granite Construction Company.
The project is limited to the continued placement of fill material (soil, rock and overburden from mining operations) into engineered stockpile locations, which includes the removal and re-routing of ephemeral stream and drainage channels within the mining area around or under the stockpiles. On-going re-vegetation work, stream bank and channel stabilization will occur to ensure continued access and site stability.
Approximately 8,000 linear feet of stream/drainage segments will be constructed to connect the existing northern stream channel with the new re-routed segments around the quarry site. In addition, approximately 12 acres of wetlands and 1 acre of perennial pond will be created and maintained to off-set impacts to waters.
