Document Description
The proposed project involves the reorganization of the incorporated City limits of Greenfield, including the annexation of ~155 acres from Monterey County into the City of Greenfield. A SOI amendment will be required concurrent with the annexation application. Proposed residential land use designations include low, medium and high density areas, with a total of 558 dwelling units. Approximately 297 low density homes are planned on about 100 acres with another 119 dwelling units of medium density on ~17 acres. The high density residential area homes features five-unit clusters on ~10 acres with 142 units. The former Jekel winery facility would be reused as a community center and would be surrounded by a large area designated for recreation and open space uses. An agricultural buffer is also proposed for the northern and western boundaries of the project site.
