Document Description
In order to expand the planned Student Housing Parking Lot, the University of La Verne is proposing to amend the adopted 2007 University of La Verne Master Plan to allow for the permanent closure and street vacation of First Street, between B Street and D Street. As amended, the Student Housing Parking Lot would provide approximately 350 parking spaces, including Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) parking and 20 minute parking for the residence hall. The expanded parking lot would increase the amount of Student Housing Parking by approximately 225 spaces over that provided by the adopted 2007 University of La Verne Master Plan. The proposed Master Plan Amendment would also allow for the possibility of preserving the existing historic Fruit Exchange Building at 2015 D Street within the University of La Verne campus.
