Document Description
Metropolitan needs to enter into two agreements for consulting services to improve water quality and ensure access to stored water at Lake Perris, a State Water Project surface water reservoir. Design services agreements are needed to design facilities to reduce taste and odor problems caused by low dissolved oxygen levels and to alleviate water quality concerns from body-contact recreation. Metropolitan was awarded two Proposition 13 grants to develop solutions to these problems. Initiation of preliminary design is needed now to make use of grant funds within the time allowed by the State Water Resources Control Board, the grant administrator. Failure to complete the work within the time allowed may require Metropolitan to return grant funds. The grant work at Lake Perris will consist of two parts. Part A consists of design and related services for an underwater oxygenation system at Lake Perris and Part B includes design and related services for facilities to reduce pathogen risks at Lake Perris.
