Document Description
Convert a second facility at CSP, LAC from a general population to Reception Center (RC) as a means to provide space to receive the increasing inmate population. CDCR proposes to move approximately 1,000 Level IV inmates from Facility C to other institutions within the state and back fill the facility with approximately 1,000 County jail inmates that have been sentenced to state prison. The CSP, LAC proposal is a bed for bed exchange between various prisons to better accommodate inmate needs based on classification requirements, educational, programming and medical and mental health care needs.
