Document Description
The proposed project consists of a General Plan Amendment to change the land use designation from Light Industrial and Commercial to Multi-Family High. As well as a Rezone of the project sites from P-1 Planned Unit District, A-2 General Agriculture, R-6 Single Family Residential to Multi-Family High with an Affordable Housing Overlay. The City of Oakley Housing Element identifies the need for 149 multi-family units to meet the City's housing needs. The project includes 7 potential sites to rezone to Multi-Family High with an Affordable Housing Overlay to allow up to 250 units. From the 7 sites, only those required to reach 149-250 units will be chosen for rezoning.
