Document Description
Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) is proposing to install and operate a 6.4 mile underground, 24-inch diameter natural gas pipeline. Approximately 65 percent of the project would be installed using Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) to avoid impacts to major waterways and their associated levees as well as to drainage and irrigation canals. The remaining 35 percent of the project would be installed using open trenching. Pre-operation activities would include hydrostatic testing of the pipe and purging the pipeline of air prior to filling the pipeline with gas.
