Document Description
The proposed project consists of construction and operation of a 7.7 mgd demineralization facility, located adjacent to Arroyo Mocho in the city of Pleasanton, California. The facility would treat potable supply from existing wells in the vicinity to help reduce total dissolved solids (TDS) levels in the area water supplies. Demineralization would occur through the use of an reverse osmosis treatment, producing finished water or permeate and concentrate with very high TDS levels. Zone 7 would blend permeate with other groundwater and/or surface water to achieve a target level of TDS. The concentrate from the treatment process would be discharged under special permit to the Dublin San Ramon Services District brine concentrate sewer, then to the Livermore Valley Water Management Agency sewer system, ultimately connecting to the existing East Bay Dischargers Authority outfall into the San Francisco Bay.
