Document Description
The City of Palo Alto does not have enough water to meet normal and emergency demands in the event of a temporary shutdown of its main water source in San Francisco. The proposed project is intended to correct this deficiency and would support a minimum of eight hours of normal water use at maximum day demand and four hours of fire suppression, and up to 30 days of water supplies in the event of an extended shutdown of the San Francisco system. The specific project addressed in this NOD is for the two wells referenced above that will be permitted as a part of the overall project the City of Palo Alto analyzed in the EIR prepared for the project.
