The Project is to revise the Tehachapi SLF's Conditional Use Permit (CUP), Solid Waste Facility Permit (SWFP), Permit to Operate (PTO), and Waste Discharge Requirements (WDRs) to increase the permitted capacity and height of the existing landfill as well as the permitted area of the facility to include adjacent property acquired as buffer to the active landfill. Furthermore, the 2014 Project would allow for the construction of upgraded landfill gas equipment, if necessary, and drainage improvements needed at the facility. The 2014 Project does not propose an increase in the waste footprint, daily tonnage, or daily traffic.
