The Watershed encompasses 18,500 acres in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties on portions of Township 1S Range 2E, T 1S R 3E, and T 2S R 2E within the Byron Hot Springs, Brentwood and Tassajara U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) 7.5-minute quadrangle maps. The three groups of Conservation Lands parcels collectively encompass approximately 1,730 acres and are individually known as the Altamont Habitat Management Unit (HMU) in Alameda County (found in portions of T 2S R 3E and 4E and on the Clifton Court Forebay and Midway USGS quads), Marsh Creek HMU in Contra Costa County (found in portions of T 1N R 2E and on the Antioch South USGS quad), and the Morgan Territory HMU in Contra Costa County (found in portions of T 1S R 2E and T 2S R 2E and on the Tassajara USGS quad).
