Document Description
The Mitigated Negative Declaration is intended to be used for the following activities and permits:
a. Construct and operate a water treatment plant for removal of arsenic from groundwater.
1- Modify the system disinfection process and provide filtration with anthracite coal and "Greensand Plus" media for arsenic removal.
2-Blend raw and finished water for reduction of nitrates and arsenic.
3- Add centrifugal sand separators at each well site and change pump bowls and motors, as required.
4- Change operation times and pressures of Wells 6A and 7A.
5- Construct new off-site sanitary sewer and force main to connect to an existing 8-inch sewer, and replace lift sanitation No. 8, and construct new sanitary sewer lift station No. 17.
6- Demolish and remove existing structures and piplines, grading, drainage, lighting, fencing, water, sewer, and other utilities, tie-in to existing water works facilities; construct access road, parking lot, storm drainage and other site components for an in place, complete water treatment plant project.
b. Obtain a Water Supply Permit Amendment, California Department of Health Services Drinking Water Program.
