Document Description
The Project includes the phased development of a new planned community and the preservation of Habitat Management lands to mitigate the Project-related impacts. The North Shore at Millerton Lake community will include 721.5 acres of residential neighborhoods, community facilities, schools, parks, natural open space, and roadway connecting noncontiguous portions of the development to each other and to Road 145 and Road 206. The Project also includes the enhancement and phased set aside of the remaining 1,377.5 acres as Habitat Managment land under permanent conservation easement. The Project will result in impacts to 684.3 acres of California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense) upland refugia habitat. The Project is expected to result in incidental take of California tiger salamander, which is designated as a threatened species under the California Endangered Species Act. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
