The sole purpose of the project is to re-establish the Agency's eminent domain authority within the project area (with the restriction that such authority may not be used to acquire property on which any persons reside) for a 12-year period as permitted by the California Community Redevelopment Law (CCRL; Health and Safety Code, Section 33000 et seq.). The project is administrative in character and does not contemplate implementation or funding of any site-specific, development/redevelopment projects. Neither does the project affect land use policy or regulation.
