Document Description
The City of Porterville has initiated a comprehensive update of its General Plan, which is an opportunity for community members to explore long-term goals and development for the City. The State of California requires every city and county to have a comprehensive General Plan that serves as a constitution for long-term physical development. The Plan identifies current and future needs in areas such as economic development, land use, circulation, noise, open space and conservation, public services, safety and environmental quality. As an economic development implementation tool, the city is evaluating applying for a new Enterprize Zone Designation.
