The project site is a 37.6-acre parcel located in the McKittrick Oil Field and is developed with various oil production-related facilities, two warehouses, and a residence. As proposed, development would entail the conversion of an existing Class II disposal well into a Class II commercial injection well which would operate under a permit issued by the California Department of Conservation/Division of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources (DOGGR).
