The Tule River Indian Tribe has filed with the Bureau of Indian Affairs an application to proclaim certain tribal land known as the "40 Acres on Highway 190" (comprised of 39.93 acres, more or less), in the County of Tulare, California, in "reservation" status and that this acreage will be made a part of the present Tule River Indian Reservation. The 40-acres was transferred from fee-to-trust status for the Tule River Indian Tribe by the Area Director, Sacramento Area Office, Bureau of Indian Affairs, on December 13, 1994.
