The project proposes to replace the existing Chester Avenue Undercrossing (Bridge Number 50-183) on State Route 204 in Bakersfield. The bridge and bridge approach would be widened to allow for standard shoulders and a median to be consistent with the adjoining roadway segments. The vertical clearance would be slightly increased and the railing system would be upgraded.
