Document Description
The Cardiovascular Center/Thornton Hospital Expansion project consists of three components: a renovation of 6,000 gross square feet (gsf); 128,000 gsf of new construction; and a new cooling tower. The following uses are proposed: the Cardiovascular Center ambulatory facility with up to 20 examination rooms; diagnostic and treatment services; three additional cardiac catheterization laboratories; faculty and staff offices; public areas; an expanded Emergency Department with a larger waiting room and nine additional treatment stations; potential for 24 intensive care unit beds; three additional operating rooms; and appropriately sized radiology, laboratory, and other support services.
