Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project would consist of a minor alteration to land within the Sycamore Canyon Open Space Reserve. No healthy, mature, scenic trees would be removed. No wetland or non-wetland water impacts would occur. No sensitive, rare, threatened, or endangered biological resources were located in the project impact area. Impacts to all known historical and cultural resources will be avoided. Therefore, no environmental resources of hazardous or critical concern will be impacted. The project would not impact scenic highways as the project is not visible from any scenic highway. There are no hazardous waste sites in the project vicinity. Therefore, the project qualifies for a Categorical Exemption under CEQA Sction 15304.
