Reasons for Exemption
General Rule The closure activities are not being changed and were approved as part of the Permit. The increased estimate provides greater assurance that funding will be available. Since there is not change to the physical activities or the closure standards, there is no possibility of a significant impact resulting from the increase in the available closure funding. Although the site is on the Hazardous Waste and Substances Sites List for past Underground Tanks, these tanks are not units subject to Closure Plan and remediation will occur under the separate jurisdiction of the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board.
