Document Description
This project consists of the installation of interpretive displays in front of a soap concession, the U.S. House. The building is located in Old Town San Diego State Historic Park, and is a reconstructed historic period building. The displays will include adding decomposed granite providing an even surface for lye barrel and campfire display, addition of a soap mold on a platform, 3 half barrels planted with herbs used in soap making, and 3 interpretive signs on posts which will require an archaeological monitor.
