Document Description
The operator proposes to alter the streambed by replacing a portion of Line 63 crude oil pipeline which is exposed within Castaic Creek. The pipline runs roughly parallel to the eastern side of I-5 through Castaic Creek. The 1800-foot segment of the pipeline will be replaced by horizontal directional drilling. The pipeline will be placed approximately 50 feet below the creek bed. A track excavator will be used to lift the existing pipeline out of the bed of the creek. The horizontal directional drilling equipment will be placed approximately 50 feet from the edge of the bank within the uplands. SAA# 1600-2005-0647-R5
