Document Description
The project proposes to widen and realign SR 76 in an unincorporated area of northern San Diego County, from Melrose Drive to South Mission Road in the communities of Oceanside and Bonsall [KP 11.7/21.1 (PM 7.3/1.1)]. The 9.4 kilometer (5.8 mile) project proposes a four-lane conventional highway with right of way and grading for a possible future widening, if justified. Currently, SR-76 is a two-lane highway that is frequently over capacity and subject to traffic congestion and travel delays.
