Document Description
The project would involve dredging and vegetation removal activities within Sediment Basin No. 1, 2, and 3. Specifically, activities within Basin 1 involve the removal of vegetation from the west bank and the hydroseeding of the side slope following all sediment removal in Basins No. 2 and 3. Activities within the channel and sediment basin would include vegetation and sediment removal and hydroseeding of both side slopes and the removal of exotics within the remaining 40-foot buffer zone. The proposed project is anticipated to enhance water quality by reducing the annual sediment loading to Newport Bay as well as restore the conveyance capacity of San Diego Creek.
