Document Description
Metropolitan proposes to shut down the Power Plant for maintenance and testing of the hydrogenerator and high voltage switchyard. Hydrogenerator maintenance and testing will include: bearing, cooling water system, and electrical equipment inspections (including station batteries and air compressor.) High voltage switchyard maintenance and testing will include: electrical testing, inspection, and cleaning of circuit breakers, disconnect switches, and transformers. Additionally, the condition of equipment insulation will be checked, and all permissive devices will be trip tested. Performance measurements of mechanical devices will be performed at the Power Plant.
