Document Description
Replace fallen ramada over the candle pot in the courtyard at Petaluma Adobe State Park to protect park visitors from rainy weather. The replaced structure will be designed to comply with the Americans with Disabilities (ADA) comliance will require that the structure be 14'x12' in size and have 48" of clearance in all directions around the existing candle pot structure. Some minor ground disturbance will occur in order to install four posts (post-hole excavations) and concrete footings. The ramada will replace/replicate the structure than collapsed. Prior to construction, the design, materials and method of construction will be reviewed by a DPR-qualified Cultural specialist. Prior to reconstructing the ramada, park maintenance staff will schedule and coordinate with the district archaeologist and have the district archaeologist on site during construction of the ramada. Maintenance staff will coordinate final design with the district historian prior to construction.
