Document Description
The purpose of the original contract is to fund three microturbine generator (MTG) projects under the Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) Program to advance MTG technology to improve the cost and reliability of California's electricity. The second project's goal is to develop and demonstrate MTG combustion systems capable of operating on (1) medium-BTU content gas, (2) low-BTU content gas, and (3) liquid fuel. This amendment increases testing for this project. Increased data collection will require an increase in the number of hours of operation of the single microtubule, cited at UCI combustion laboratories.
