Document Description
The Operator proposes to alter the streambed and banks through the routine annual maintenance of approximately 2,500 linear feet of stream, located within the Schabarum Regional Park. Proposed maintenance activities consists of sediment removal, clearing of broken branches of vegetation, and debris removal adjacent to the children play areas and picnic areas of the park for the purpose of reducing stagnant water, and adjacent to the stream as a means to reduce potential mosquito breeding areas. A small maintenance crew equipped with hand tools will perform the work in the stream, including sediment removal, to eliminate pools of stagnant water. The implementations of the maintenance activities are not to alter the course of the stream. Channel maintenance will be conducted on an as-need basis.
