Document Description
The Operator proposes to alter the streambed and banks through the implementation of the Laguna Canyon Creek Habitation Restoration and Outreach Project. The project proposes the removal of existing ornamental landscaping and invasive weedy plants within the creek and adjacent uplands and restoring the area with native vegetation. The Laguna Canyon Creek Habitat Restoration project area is located within the Laguna Canyon Watershed in the City of Laguna Beach in Southern Orange County. The project includes the restoration of a 3.5 acre site along the Verizon creek frontage property and the City's Dog Park. The Laguna Creek functions as a riparian habitat resource and wildlife movement corridor. The Laguna Coast Wilderness Park & Preserve is located directly to the east across Laguna Canyon Road. The Aliso/Wood Canyons Regional Park borders the southern and eastern part of the project area.
