The project is a research endeavor designed to potentially reduce reliance on water from northern California by providing for enhanced recharge to the San Fernando Basin. The purpose of the project is to make recommendations and develop a scientific research and policy document to better manage water resources. The beneficiaries of the project will be the people of the State of California. No construction of any kind is proposed at this time.
