The California Department of Fish and Game is executing Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2011-0174-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, the East Contra Costa Habitat Conservancy, forestation of alkali wetland habitat, creation of new California tiger salamander breeding habitat, in stream channel restoration, improvement of site access, and installation of new fencing to exclude cattle from the restoration sites during vegetation establishment. The project site is located at Upper Hess Creek on the north side of Kirker Pass Road, approximately 6.4 miles east of the City of Concord and 3.9 miles west of the City of Pittsburg Latitude 37.976944, Longitude 121.917222.
