Document Description
A Coastal Development, Conditional Use and Special Permit for the "after the fact" removal of five mature redwoods that was conducted in July 2004 without the benefit of County review. Three of the harvested redwoods were located within a Streamside Management Area of an unnamed creek. The permit will validate the tree removal already conducted as well as allow the removal of five more redwood trees that are within 15 feet of the residence. A Special Permit is required to allow Major Vegetation Removal within a Streamside Management Area. A "150 Foot Fire Hazard Tree Removal" exemption will be required by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
