Document Description
The Fay Hill Pumping Plant (PP) and Pipeline Improvements Project (Project) is one of many projects in the certified WTTIP EIR and includes replacement of the pump units at the Fay Hill PP with larger units and replacement of about 500 feet of existing pipeline. During the detailed design, some changes and additions to the original Project were identified. These changes include full replacement of the Fay Hill PP at EBMUD's existing Rheem PP site, installation of additional suction and discharge pipelines, and demolition of the existing Fay Hill PP.
In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, EBMUD completed an Addendum to the WTTIP EIR to address environmental impacts from the design changes. An evaluation was conducted and it was determined that the changes do not result in new significant impacts or cause an increase in the severity of previously identified impacts as presented in the certified WTTIP EIR. EBMUD will implement the same mitigation measures for the design changes that are presented in the WTTIP EIR. No further environmental documentation is required .
