Project includes improvements to existing and construction of new facilities, including reservoirs, WTPs, pumping plants and pipelines. Some of the sites are at existing EBMUD facility locations; existing land use and zoning varies among the sites. Pipeline and tunnel construction could occur through or beneath numerous parcels with various land uses, zoning designations, and general plan land use designations.

Document Description
The purpose of the Water Treatment and Transmission Improvement Program (WTTIP) is to address water treatment, transmission and distribution system needs in Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda, and western Walnut Creek through 2030. The project objectives include EBMUD's goals for water quality, changing regulations, existing and future water demands, environmental responsibility, long-term reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
