Document Description
The project will include channel maintenance activities on the improved channels, unimproved channels, leveed channels, drain ditches, and work areas specified and described in the Section 1600 binder attached to the Initial Study. The maintenance activities include: (a) debris or obstruction removal; (b) silt, sand, or sediment removal; (c) maintenance of channel capacity, (d) vegetation control; d-1, Mechanical control; d-2, Aquatic vegetation control; d-3, Chemical vegetation control; (e) repair existing erosion control work; and (f) minor erosion control work. Mitigation measures for wildlife protection, erosion control and water quality are implemented to avoid significant adverse effects. Work is/will be done in accordance with existing Biological Opinion (United States Fish and Wildlife Service 2005, 2001, 1991).
